PASS HER BY

She tells him yes
then she tells him no
Gives him a kiss
before she makes him go
He doesn't need
anymore advice
All he needs
is someone to love tonite

He found her working
in the Hotel of love
blowing him kisses
from the room up above
Oh no..
He's running out of time
to cry
and all he needs
is someone to love tonite

NO, DON'T STOP
PASS HER BY
NO, DON'T STOP
PASS HER BY

He wants to love her
She's a special girl
one in a million
in a heartless world
Alright
When you're standing on
the edge of tears

And then she comes to you
and whispers in your ear..

CHORUS

No, he can't decide
which way to turn
So he breaks from her
As he shouts her name
And she pulls him in
Things don't look
the same way now

He thinks he loves her
He thinks he loves her

CHORUS

(Written by Stephen Bishop)

*I played 30 songs for Todd Rundgren
and he chose two to record as demo's,
to get a deal back in 1985. I, like so many,
have loved his stuff.."Healing" being
one of my favorites as well as many others..
This is the best recording I had of this song.
I rewrote the lyrics in his guest house (bug city)
in Woodstock until he thought they were ok..
He sang all of the chorus's which was very
cool since I didn't like singing the chorus's..
He played all the instruments...I wrote it...
sang it. I thought the vocal was too low.
